90년대 미국. 촉망받는 세 명의 쿵후 수제자들은 사부에 대한 충성을 맹세하고 그들의 무술이 경쟁파벌을 이길 수 있도록 고된 훈련을 견뎌 내며 기술을 연마한다. 연전연승을 통해 그들은 세 마리 호랑이들로 국제적으로도 알려진다. 하지만 20년이라는 시간이 흐르고 이제 그들은 각자 별 볼 일없는 그저 그런 중년의 아저씨들이 되었다. 어느 날 오랫동안 연락이 없었던 사부가 의문의 죽음을 당하게 된다. 이 사건을 계기로 흩어져있던 세 명의 남자들은 다시 뭉치게 되고 진실을 파헤치고 복수를 하기 위해 의기투합하게 된다.
