한낮 도심에서 우뤄신이라는 젊은 여자가 괴한들에게 납치되어 정싱병원에 들어간 뒤 이유 없는 감금 생활을 하게 된다. 약에 취하고 고문을 견디면서 그녀는 병원에서 일어나는 끔찍한 일에 대해 일지에 기록한다. 누가 그녀를 정신병원에 강제 입원시켰고 또 그 이유는 무엇일까? 일 년 후, 그 일지는 ’추적 24시’를 연출하는 렌쟈오 피디에게 전해지고, 그 내용에 끌린 렌쟈오 피디는 우뤄신을 찾아나서지만, 우뤄신은 아버지를 살해한 용의자로서 수감된 상태다. 조사가 진행될수록 의문은 풀려가는 듯하지만 그게 진실인지 아닌지 누가 말할 수 있을까?
