5월의 광주, 우리들은 의문사한 친구의 여동생을 찾아 기차에 오른다. 그녀(이정현)는 김추자의 꽃잎을 잘 부르던 소녀였다. 공사장 인부인 장(문성근)이 길거리에서 미친 소녀를 만난다. 그녀는 장을 오빠라고 부르면서 졸졸 따라온다. 장은 그녀에게 강간과 폭력을 가하지만 그녀는 떠날 줄 모른다. 그녀의 악몽과 헛소리들을 지켜보던 장은 차츰 그녀의 아픔과 슬픔을 느끼게 되고 어느 무덤을 찾아가 고백하는 그녀의 진실을 듣게 되는데...
