2년전 우즈버로의 살인 사건을 다룬 게일(커트니 콕스)의 책인 스탭이 베스트셀러가 되고 영화로 제작된다. 스탭의 시사회장에서 두 명의 대학생이 유령 복장을 한 괴한들에게 살해당한다. 당연히 과거의 끔찍했던 기억을 잊고 평범한 대학생으로 살아가던 시드니(니브 캠벨)에게 모든 관심이 집중된다. 기자와 경찰이 그녀 주위를 맴돌고 그녀를 돕기 위해 데릭, 랜디, 게일, 커튼 등 우즈버로의 친구들이 모여든다. 그러나 사건은 더욱 커져만 가는데...
