흡혈귀의 원조라고 일컬어지는 반인 반고양이의 모습을 한 슬립워커는 점점 사라져 가는 종족으로 순결한 처녀의 피를 먹고 사는데, 고양이의 피를 가장 무서워한다. 마지막 슬립워커인 메리와 아들 찰스는 오하이오에서 어린 소녀를 살해해 피를 마시고 인디애나 주 트래비스로 이사를 온다. 새 고등학교로 전학온 찰스는 잘생긴 외모에 공부도 잘해 여학생들의 관심을 끈다. 찰스는 그 중 미모가 뛰어난 치어 리더 타냐를 엄마인 메리의 먹이로 점찍고 그녀에게 접근하는데...
