작은 마을에서 웨이트리스로 일하며 가수의 꿈을 키우던 앨리(크리스티나 아길레라)는 꿈을 이루기 위해 LA로 떠난다. 만만치 않은 오디션의 연속… 수많은 탈락에도 꿋꿋한 그녀가 우연히 발견한 클럽 ‘버레스크’.댄서 출신의 테스(셰어)가 운영하고 있던 ‘버레스크’의 환상적인 쇼와 공연에 매료된 앨리는 자신의 꿈이 실현될 무대임을 직감하고 ‘버레스크’의 디바가 되기 위한 고군분투를 시작한다. 하지만 그녀가 꿈과 사랑에 한 스텝씩 가까워질 무렵 동료들의 질투에 클럽을 둘러싼 대규모 개발계획과 음모까지 겹치면서 그림자를 드리우게 되는데…
