어릴 적 열차 사고로 부모님을 잃은 이안 스팍스는 슈퍼히어로가 되어 악당들을 물리치며 살아간다. 스팍스는 다른 슈퍼히어로들에게 합류하기 위해 뉴욕으로 떠나고, 그곳에서 운명의 여인이자 히로인 레이디 헤븐리를 만난다. 하지만 레이디와 한 팀으로 활약하던 스팍스는 의문의 공격을 받은 뒤 정신을 잃고, 그 후 모든 게 달라지는데...
