니나코는 학교의 인기남 렌에게 고백을 하지만 그 자리에서 차인다. ‘츤데레’ 렌을 향한 니나코의 짝사랑 이야기를 다룬 <스트롭 에지>는, 일본을 강타한 ‘소매접기’의 주인공이다. 영화는 끓는 마음과 고통이 뒤섞일 수밖에 없는 10대의 연애에 대해 이야기한다. 강렬하고, 밝은 부드러움을 뜻하는 “Strobe”라는 단어와, 마치 가슴을 도려내는 칼과도 같은 의미의 “Edge”가 합쳐진 제목만 보아도 알 수 있듯이. (2015년 제19회 부천국제판타스틱영화제)
