가정집 보안서비스 업체를 운영하는 브루스와 케빈, 사업이 점점 슬럼프에 빠지자 브루스는 도시의 주택에 침입해 도둑질을 계획한다. 이들에게는 공짜 견적을 받을 때 입수한 주택의 도면도 있으니 주택 침입은 누워서 떡 먹기. 어느 날 밤, 절도에 성공해 전리품을 살펴보던 중 10만 달러가 넘는 거액이 든 돈 가방을 발견하지만 몇 달 후 돈 가방의 주인에게 덜미가 잡힌 브루스는 돈 가방 주인에게 납치당해 고문까지 당하게 된다. 결국 케빈은 브루스를 구하려고 하는데...
