17살의 생일을 맞게 되는 잔느는 아버지 알버트와 함께 스웨덴으로 여행을 온다. 2살 때 이혼 후 아버지와 둘이서만 살아온 잔느는 여러 모로 아버지의 과보호 속에서 자란 셈이다. 빌리기로 한 해변가의 집에 도착하지만, 날짜 착오로 인해 집주인인 아니카와 그녀의 여동생 크리스틴과 함께 지내게 된다. 역할 모델로서 엄마가 부재했던 잔느는 아니카와 크리스틴에게서 많은 것을 배우고 느끼게 된다.
