1997년 종말이 닥친 후의 세계. 키드는 폐품을 물과 교환하며 살아간다. 물 공급을 독점해 권력을 누리는 제우스에게 친구가 잡혀가고 키드는 만화책 속 영웅들의 용기를 끌어모아 그를 응징한다. <매드 맥스>의 포스트 아포칼립스적 배경과 80년대 B급 SF영화, 고어물의 영향이 뒤섞인 장르의 종합선물세트, <터보키드>는 보는 내내 재미와 감탄, 그리고 폭소를 연발케 할 에너지 넘치는 영화이다.
