중소도시 주룩에서 노동자 생활을 하는 금발머리 처녀 안둘라는 프라하에서 온 젊은 피아니스트 밀다를 만나 하룻밤을 보낸다. 밀다의 달콤한 약속을 철썩같이 믿었던 그녀는 희망과 다른 현실에 직면하여 허물어지고 만다. 1965년 베니스국제영화제 황금사자상 후보에 오르기도 한 작품이다. 밀러스 포먼 감독의 초창기에 체코에서 제작된 작품으로 코미디 영화다.
