야나기다 키리코는 살인 사건의 용의자로서 체포된 오빠의 결백을 믿고, 유명한 변호사인 오츠카에게 변호를 의뢰하지만 돈이 없다는 이유로 거절당한다. 그리고 결국 오빠는 사형당한다. 그때부터 억제할 수 없는 키리코의 복수심에 불이 붙어 사건은 점점 파국으로 치닫는데... 1977년에 야마구치 모모에 주연으로 리메이크된 바 있다.
