천하제일의 주검사 몽야자는 명검 함광을 주조한 이유로
조정의 간신 조감으로부터 멸족지화를 당해
몽양을 지키기 위해 목숨을 바치고 완성되지 못한 승영검을 남겼다.
20년 후 성인이 된 몽양은 아버지의 원수를 갚으려 하였으나
함광검을 이겨낼 수 있는 승영검이좀처럼 만들어지지 못했다.
