중종 22년, 거대한 물괴가 나타나 백성들을 공격하기 시작한다.
물괴와 마주친 백성들은 그 자리에서
잔인하게 죽임을 당하거나 살아남아도
역병에 걸려 끔찍한 고통 속에 결국 죽게 되고,
